LAUREN THORNTON / Lead and Background Vocals, Percussion.
Lauren Thornton is the newest member of SOUNDPROOF. She
was born and raised in Texas in Southwest Houston. Lauren has been singing
from the time she could talk, constantly performing her own musical creations
for her family in their living room. She studied piano as a child and at her
first recital, she played Pachelbel's Canon in D and at her second, Queen's
Bohemian Rhapsody, thus showing her versatility in music interests. She grew
in her talent by joining band in middle school and was the first chair French
Horn in the Varsity Band and in the Varsity Choir at her high school. She has
also been a regular soloist at St. Laurence Catholic Church since 2000. She
graduated from Texas A&M University in 2008. Lauren is just starting her

MIKE UNTERMEYER- Guitar, Bass, Lead and Backing Vocals.
Mike brings a wealth of
experience to the table! He grew up in the Houston / Austin
area where he played in various rock, country, and blues
bands in his teens and early twenties. He became interested
in jazz and worked the jazz club circuit in and around Houston and
Austin. Mike eventually moved to Chicago where the "weather
was cold but the music was hot". He spent thirteen years
there working in all kinds of musical venues, including session
work. Mike came back home to Texas in 1999 where he enjoys playing
all kinds of musical styles. His considerable skill and versatility
as a guitarist keeps him busy with recording sessions, teaching, and
live performances in the Lone Star State and across the nation.
Mike is a graduate of Groves School of Music (School Without
Walls). He has shared the stage with artists such as Louise Mandrell,
Charlie Daniels, Pam Tillis, Kirk Whalum, The Lovin' Spoonful,

WADE WILLIAMS - Bass, lead and backing vocals.
Wade is a true country boy, born and raised in Louisiana where he learned to play the old fashioned way. Where he's from, they call it front
"porch pickin'". He started at the age of 9, later turning to bass guitar at the age of 17. Wade's first band was Amitee out of Oakdale La.; he played rhythm guitar and keyboards with them from the age of 16. After turning to bass guitar he played with various rock and roll groups throughout Louisiana. In 1986 he joined Vital Signs and toured the hotel circuit for a year and a half. After a two-year hiatus, Wade joined Southern Cross out of Lake Charles, La. Then moved to Houston in 1999 and reformed Vital Signs with other original members. Deciding he needed a change of direction, Wade joined various show bands including The El Vibes, Flatbroke, Aftermath, The Level One Band, and currently SOUNDPROOF. |

OZZIE
HART - Percussion, lead and backing vocals.
Ozzie Hart expertly keeps the beat for SOUNDPROOF and has been drumming for over 30 years. He lists his main influences as Danny Seraphine (Chicago) and Jeff Porcaro (Toto, Steely Dan, Boz Scaggs,etc.). Ozzie's professional drumming career began with the infamous Coastliners during the mid-60's. Ozzie went on to play with Ray Rogers and Bojangles, Soul Brothers, Inc., Louisiana Boogie (with original members of the Boogie Kings), the Green Onions and the Grateful Geezers. Ozzie also has many years of studio session work under his belt. And he won't say much about it, but Ozzie can sing too! His dependable drumming, easygoing attitude and professionalism all make SOUNDPROOF a better band. |
